    • Hit Enter 2 times to move your cursor down the page a bit further.

Create a Table

    • With your cursor a few lines below your title, go the menu bar at the top of the page.

    • Choose: Table / Insert Table
      Use these specifications:
      • Table Name: word search
      • Columns: 12
      • Rows: 12
      • Header (don't check)

    • Go to your menu bar and click the Numbering icon. The number 1. should now show up below the table.

Look at the list of words in the column to the right. You will be using 10 of these words in your puzzle.

  • Pick any word from the list, copy and paste it in your document after the number 1.

  • Press enter after the word you just pasted, and the number 2 will now show. Copy and paste another word after the number 2. Press enter after the word.

  • Repeat until you have 10 words listed.

Add Your Words to the Table

    • Type word #1 into the table anywhere (up, down, across or diagonally), putting one letter into one table cell.

    • Type word #2 somewhere else, possibly crossing over word number 1, using one of its letters.

    • Do this until you have inserted all 10 words randomly in the table, crossing over each other if possible.

    • Now insert random letters in any of the empty table cells.

    • Save to your Personal Folder.

    • Print out and see if your parents can solve your
      Word Search Puzzle!

When done, you can quietly do what you want on the computer . . .
