Tuition
Reduction Using SCRIP
Every family that wants to use
the SCRIP program will have to fill out an enrollment
form before starting to acquire credit toward tuition.
Every order will have to be submitted with an order form. The
family receiving the credit will need to be clearly marked.
By using the SCRIP you
will accumulate 40% of the profit that you raise (not
the amount of the purchase). That amount of credit
will be deducted from your tuition for next year. When
tuition envelopes are distributed in the fall the SCRIP
amount from the previous year will already be deducted.
A cap of 40% is placed on the amount of tuition that
can be reduced. If you are receiving other assistance
the cap would apply to the lesser amount.
i.e.,
40% of $1395 = $558.00
The tuition credit earned
will ONLY count toward tuition. You are still responsible
for book fees, uniforms and work hour monies.
If a family chooses not
to return the next year, the SCRIP profit earned would
go toward the project goal for that year. If a family
leaves in the middle of the school year the credit
earned would go toward the goal for that year. If your
youngest is in the eighth grade the profit you accumulate
will go toward the eighth grade gift fund. Parishioners
and Teachers SCRIP profit earned not designated toward
a family will be applied to the scholarship fund or
the project goal. It will be their choice. The project
goal for the next year will be decided by HASA members/faculty
the previous year.
After the tuition is paid,
the goal has to be less than the balance of the profit
made for the year or make the goal a 2-year project.
The profit for the year will be distributed approximately
this way: 40% tuition reduction, 40% goal project,
20% will go back into the SCRIP fund to continue to
build the funds there. Other SCRIP program guidelines
have not changed. Your SCRIP purchases can still be
made by you, family, friends, coworkers etc. Every
order does not have to be paid with a check from you
and cash is accepted. The check does need to be made
out to Our Lady of Hungary School.
A fee of $20 will be assessed
for every returned check. A post-dated check will not
be accepted. Remember
the reduction you earn will reduce your 2007-2008 tuition
bill.

around 2:00 pm until school is out for the day.
If for some reason we miss each other, please feeel
free to give me a call (234.8304) and order what
Scrip you need. I will do my best to see to it
you get your Scrip as soon as possible.
